Spiritual Practice Groups New Daytime (Facebook Post)(2).png

Thursdays at 7pm
@ 23 Edwin Place, Asheville

Every Thursday night we will gather for an evening of spiritual practice to ground ourselves for our work in the world. From spiritual practices for everyone, to learning practices that ground and nourish different members of our community, we will help you find practices that fit your life and belief system and support you in your practice.

Throughout the weeks, we connect with each other on signal to continue to support each other in our practices.

Weekly Themes

1st Thursday - Spiritual Practice for Everyone

Gathering to learn (or deepen our understanding of) a spiritual practice that can be applied to any spiritual background (or none at all). These practices are intended to ground, protect, connect, and fuel us for our work for liberation. We will work to find ways to support folk in their practices and have check-ins the 4th Sunday of the month.

2nd Sunday - Deepening our Practice Series: Journeying with Spirit(s)

A series that builds upon itself with the end goal of equipping people to create safe containers and connect with a guide. In three month segments over the course of the year, we will strengthen our sense of self and our own magic and ways of hearing spirit, learn practices for clearing, grounding, and protection, learn how to sit and listen to spirit, discernment of spirits, how to build an altar, tools for listening, and, finally, learn how to connect with one of our guides. Attendance at a majority of classes is expected in order to begin to journey.

3rd Sunday - Practice Sharing

Members of the community will teach/lead spiritual practices from their own traditions and cosmologies.

4th Sunday - Creativity & Spirituality

Get together to do something creative and/or fun with a spiritual bent (and sometimes not). Sometimes we just need to come together to connect and chill.

Location:
23 Edwin Place, Asheville

We will be gathering at 23 Edwin Place in N. Asheville. 23 Edwin Place is a house owned by the Unitarian Universalist Church of Asheville. There is a small lot by the church and ample street parking. There are three steps to the front door. It is not the most accessible building. We are working on finding a space that is truly accessible; it has been difficult.
